Jan Holle holds a degree in Applied Computer Science with a Minor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Siegen, specializing in software and communication systems security. In 2009, he earned his diploma with a thesis on „Performance Analysis of CAN Bus Gateways and Design of a Security Concept for CAN Bus.“

Afterward, he worked as a scientific assistant at the University of Siegen, obtaining his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. Since August 2013, Jan Holle has been with ESCRYPT (now ETAS), serving as a Security Engineer and later as a Product Manager. Today, he is responsible for the offboard security portfolio at ETAS.
