Dr. Bando earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from New York University. His research interest was developing the longest prefix matching algorithm and pattern matching algorithm, with his work being published in multiple well referred international conference and IEEE/ACM Journals. He also holds multiple US patents for these cybersecurity and network inventions and served as reviewers for IEEE/ACM Transaction on Networking and in conferences such as IEEE Infocom. His previous role as a Principal ASIC Design Engineer involves building architecture for next generation security processors. He joined Fortinet 2010 to bring his expertise and is researching new areas of cyber security including connected car security.
