Mr. Rahul Prathap is responsible for business development in central Europe as well as being P&L responsible for the Tata Technologies entity in Germany. In this capacity he works with OEMs, tier-1s and the extended silicon eco-system. Over his career in established engineering services companies and in technology start-ups he has worked on setting up projects, ramping up dedicated development centers and a joint venture between international majors. These engagements in the areas of R&D and innovation, product engineering and software development span multiple territories, diverse company cultures and heterogenous techno-development paradigms. His passion for automotive, aerospace and technology trends sometimes blurs the borders between his work discussions and personal interests.

He grew up in Bangalore (Bengaluru), where he also completed his engineering. His career started in Vadodara, India and later transitioned to Seattle. His time on the west coast of USA convinced him to also think of spending some time in Europe. A sabbatical from work to complete an international MBA in the Vlerick Business School in Belgium helped him transition from a technical role into a managerial and business development role in Munich, Germany. He currently spends significant time hopping between Germany, France, UK and India due to customer meetings and team workshops.
